Principal's Message

Hello BAMS Family,
 
This is Nick Stever, the Principal at Bernice Ayer Middle School. We trust that you are enjoying an amazing family-filled and memory-making summer. We are anxiously preparing for your arrival and are excited to see all of you. As we get closer to the start of the school year, here are some important upcoming dates to remember.
 
Packet Pick-Up
Tuesday,          7/26     9:00am-12:00pm
Wednesday,    7/27     4:00pm-7:00pm
Thursday,        7/28     9:00am-12:00pm
-All families must pick up Registration Packets that include important information for tasks that need to be completed prior to registration.
 
WEB Leader Training (8th grade)
Thursday,        8/4       12:00pm-6:00pm
Friday,              8/5       12:00pm-6:00pm
-8th grade students that have been selected as WEB leaders will report to the MPR.
 
Registration
-Students will receive their schedules, textbooks, and take school pictures on this day. Registration will be by grade (alphabet specific for 6th grade only) and take place on the following dates and times:
 
6th Grade Registration

*Students WILL NOT take their picture at make-up registration, but will have the opportunity to take their picture at make-up picture day scheduled for Tuesday, 9/6.
 
Important details about Registration
There is some important paperwork that must be submitted during Registration. Please make sure that you submit the Data Confirmation Page and the McKinney-Vento Form on your scheduled Registration day.
 
Additionally, all parents of 7th graders need to provide a copy of their student’s Tdap immunization if they have not already done so. You will not receive a schedule until your immunizations are current.  
 
 
Please be sure to print your Data Confirmation Page early!  Instructions on creating a Parent Portal Account and printing your Data Confirmation Page can be found in your registration packets.
 
If you have students in more than one grade, it is best to bring both students to Registration on Wednesday, 8/10, in order to avoid having to wait in lines twice! We do not give out class schedules early.
 
6th Grade WEB Orientation
Thursday,        8/11     9:00am-12:00pm
-You do not want to miss this event! Bussing is provided to bus riders only. All 6th grade students will report to the MPR for 6th grade WEB Orientation.
 
First day of School
Tuesday,          8/16    
-This day is a Minimum Day which means that students will be dismissed at 12:50pm. Zero Period starts the first day of school at 8:04am.
 
Back to School Night
Thursday,        8/25     6:00pm-8:30pm
-Details will be provided at a closer date but we are excited to be returning to our first in-person BTSN in several years.

Beach Bash

-New BAMS families are invited to join our veteran BAMS families down at Linda Lane beach for a day of fellowship, building community, and enjoying our beautiful beach.
